About this course

This is the course we wish we had when we started. You will build a complete, database-backed web application from an empty folder — no frameworks hiding the fundamentals — using PHP 8, MySQL and modern, semantic front-end code.

Along the way you will learn how the web really works: requests and responses, sessions and cookies, prepared statements, authentication, and how to structure a project so it stays maintainable. Each module ends with you shipping a working feature of a real app.

Absolute beginners are welcome. If you can install a code editor, you can take this course.
