Privacy policy

What we collect

Your name, email address, enrollment history, course progress and invoices — the minimum needed to run your account and issue certificates. Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes.

How we use it

To provide the courses you bought, issue and verify certificates, and send transactional email (receipts, completion notices). We do not sell or share personal data with advertisers.

Certificate verification

When someone verifies a certificate code, we display the certificate holder's name, the course title and the completion date — the same information printed on the certificate itself. Nothing else is exposed.

Cookies

We use one authentication cookie (a signed session token) and one preference for light/dark theme. No third-party trackers, no analytics beacons.

Your rights

You may request an export or deletion of your data at any time by writing to privacy@coded.academy. Deleting an account voids its certificates.
